Nepal Sambat is the National Lunar Day-to-day Purposes Starting From the Era of Ad Until the Beginning of the Century. It Appears on Coins, Stone Tablets and Copper Plates, Inscriptions, Royal Decrees, Chronicles, Hindu and Buddhist Manuscripts, Legal Documents and Letters. The Custom of Celebrating Sambat in Nepal Started in Ad. According to a Popular Legend, There Was Once a Scholar in Bhaktapur Who Ordered Porters to Fetch Sand From the Lakutirtha River in Kathmandu Because He Knew the Sand Would Turn Into a Pile of Gold the Next Day.
A Man Named Shanhadar Sahwa Came to Know About This and He Tricked the Porters Into Leaving the Sand at His Place. The Next Day the Sand Turned Into Gold and Sri Lanka WhatsApp Number List He Used the Gold to Pay Off the Debts of All the People in the Kathmandu Valley. So From That Day People Started Celebrating New Year to Commemorate Their Happiness. Even Today People Welcome the New Year With Great Enthusiasm. The Day Begins Every Year With a Gathering and Greetings. This Means Happy New Year.

Different Events and Activities Are Also Organized in Kathmandu Valley on This Day Every Year. Nepal Sambat the Months of the Year Are Nepal Sambat Month and the Corresponding Gregorian Calendar Months: Khacha Day, November Day, December Day, the Sun Disappears, January, Sir Day, February, Children's Day, March, Goodbye, April, Bacha Day, May Tacha Day.
